Written by Susie Hodge, a British art historian, author, artist, and journalist with more than one hundred books to her name for both adults and children. She has an MA in the history of art from Birkbeck, University of London, and is a fellow of the Royal Society for Arts. She has twice been named the No. 1 art writer by the Independent. She often appears in documentaries, arts programmes and news channels, and is valued for her ability to simplify complex ideas quickly for viewers.
Illustrated by Jenny Bowers, a member of an award-winning design studio and a
graduate of the Royal College of Art, London. Her illustrations can be seen on the packaging of Le Chocolat des Français often found in museums such as the MOMA. Her work has also been featured in large magazines such as Vogue Japon and newspapers such as the Guardian.
