About Wide Eyed Editions
Since 2014, Wide Eyed Editions has been crafting visually stunning nonfiction for children and families. Our stellar cast of illustrators and authors bring a new sense of wonder to classic themes in simple, quality formats that look and feel like beautiful objects.
The Competition
The Wide Eyed Editions Illustration Competition is open to new and aspiring illustrators who are not yet commercially published or represented by agents.
To commemorate Wide Eyed Editions' 10th year anniversary, the theme of the competition is 'Celebration,' offering artists the opportunity to interpret and express what celebration means to them.
Submission Details
• Create an original and unpublished artwork based on the theme 'Celebration'
• Include a brief description of your artwork and a link to your portfolio
• Participants must be 18 years old or above
Requirements
• Artist's work has never been commercially published
• Artist is unrepresented/unagented
Key Dates
- Submission Deadline: 1st of December, 2024
- Winner Announcement: 31st of January, 2025
Prize
- First Prize: £500 and a portfolio review with the Wide Eyed Art Director
- Runner-Up Prizes: Portfolio reviews for three runners-up
